Human Touch Home Care has a new website, and we are thrilled to share it!
A family-owned legacy of care
Since 2005, this family-owned home care registry based in Flourtown, PA has helped older adults stay safe and comfortable in the homes they love. Founder Bess Wray started the company on a simple belief: most seniors want to remain at home as they age, and they can with the right support. Today, owner Paxton Wray carries that mission forward, guided by a goal to empower clients in their pursuit of safe, happy lives at home.
The registry connects families in Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Delaware Counties with carefully screened, compassionate caregivers, from a few hours a week to around-the-clock care.
A launch worth celebrating
The Human Touch name is well known and respected across the Flourtown region. For years, the team built those relationships in person, hosting breakfasts and socials at local hospitals to meet the people who could benefit from at-home care. Those opportunities faded during and after COVID, and the team has since turned its energy toward digital marketing. The new site is a big step in that direction.
The site launched in mid-September, and the response has been wonderful. Just after launch, Marketing Coordinator Kim Sloane took an inquiry call from a prospective client who mentioned that the new site looks great and said he would check there for more information. That is the kind of first impression a website should make. Kim is “beyond pleased” with the result, and she says working with Pedal Point has been fabulous. Paxton says our customer-centered approach to a secure, fast, and user-friendly site, with accessibility at the center, exceeded his expectations. Hearing that makes our day.
Why accessibility is vital for reaching seniors
Accessibility matters here for a practical reason. Older adults and the family members who search on their behalf make up much of Human Touch’s audience, and many of them live with changes in vision, hearing, dexterity, or memory. Small text, low contrast, tiny buttons, and cluttered pages can turn a simple search for care into a frustrating dead end. An accessible site removes those barriers. It offers readable fonts and strong contrast, text that resizes cleanly, full keyboard navigation, clear link text, and a predictable layout. That helps seniors, their caregivers, and everyone else who visits.
“When someone is looking for care for a loved one, the last thing they need is a website that makes them work for the answer,” says Simon Miner, founder of Pedal Point Solutions. “Accessibility is what makes a site welcoming on the first visit. For an audience of older adults and their families, that welcome is part of the care.”
The site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA and was evaluated with both automated tools and hands-on screen reader testing, so it works for real people using real assistive technology.
Take a look around
We are proud of this launch and grateful to Kim, Paxton, and the whole Human Touch team for their trust and partnership.
Please take a look around at humantouchhomecareltd.com. If you or someone you know could use compassionate in-home care in the Philadelphia area, the team would love to hear from you.
